I have a 32" Sharp Aquos and the picture always fades in and out. Gets dimmer and then back to normal. Does it when i'm watching DVD or cable TV. Dont think it does it when the computer is hooked up to it though.
Some newer TV's are equipped with a ROOM SENSOR which will change the Contrast and Brightness according to the amount of light going into the Sensor. While watching DVD's or Movies the output of light from the TV screen changes sometimes affecting the Sensor. While Computers are pretty consistent with light output. Go into your TV Menu and look for ROOM SENSOR or something similar and turn it off. If not then check in the TV Menu Video controls and see if there are any Contrast or Brightness functions set to AUTO. If so grab a DVD with THX and they have a TV Calibration that is very easy to set-up your TV too.
