I install the network drivers for my compaq evo n620c notebook and my system crashes. I think I need to install the older version of the drivers but I am not sure.

Acquire the set-up disc for Linux. Install as you would with Windows, but instead you are now installing Linux as the operating system.

If you have the restore disk just run them it will delete the current and install with a clean factory install

Number five is the network port, the network card is built in on the motherboard

You can download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

And just to add that your system specs are really old and you should think about upgrading. 128 mb ram upgradable to 2 gigs.

Integrated 4x agp graphics...you should be able to install a new agp graphics card.

Or you should buy a new computer if you dont know how to build your own which can be tricky and expensive if you cant reuse many parts.
