Hi, I have a AVIC HD3 and I cannot make it make any noise.. the touch screen no longer beeps, it looks as though it is playing music, but no noise is coming out.. I dont think I have changed any settings or done anything out of the ordinary.. Need help!

have you tried using the master reset for the device. at this point we want to have the issue isolated by removing the settings that's currently forwarded in your AVIC.
the master reset was not clearly illustrated in the manual, and pioneer said that those kinds of reset must go through them over the phone even if a device is out of warranty.

If you see that the music is being played and the display is working regularly but there is no sound, then either wiring to speakers are gone, or the amp is faulty. Wiring problems are far more common.
First you should reset the unit by unplugging the battery cable for a couple of minutes. You may be asked the unlock code on restart.
If that does not work, then check wiring at the back of the Avic, you will need to extract the player from the dash to check the connector.
The only setting is if you mute the audio or turn volume down. However sometimes you can fix minor problems by cutting power for few minutes.
More likely the problem is with connectors at the back of the Avic.
