On the Model 55108 Coffee Warmer plate, the L121 -12C thermal sensor is open. The other sensor in this model, L145 -20C, is closed. Aren't both of these sensors supposed to be closed normally? I believe the L121 -12C sensor has failed.
I just replaced the "sensor"/limit switch with one from a different-model-non-working-for-a-different-reason maker & it's brewin just fine.
The "sensor" (little white hard material disc) works in conjuction with the heating element Ok thats a no brainer, however usually it is the heating element failure (lloks like a big U thing on bottom of hot plate) that kills the sensor. Both have to be replaced, however, are they easy to find and worth the cost of parts and time to repair?? Or just buy another one. The life expectancy is aproxiamate 500 or less pots...
