I have a Sansa Refurb 2 GB MP3 player, gifted to me by a relative in US (I live in India). It was working fine till yesterday. After I switched it off the last time, it is not getting switched on. I tried plugging the device to the PC, but nothing happnes; the dial at the centre doesn't glow; the screen is blank and the PC doesn't read from the device. What do I do!
Thank God! I fixed it! I pressed down the Menu button for 45 seconds and got the msg that the key is locked. I pushed the Hold button so that the white side is seen (not the orange side, as was suggested in some other solution) and tried swtichin on again. It started working!Thank God! I fixed it! Some of the sandisk products need a driver installed to work properly. Try this link and look for your model. http://www.sandisk.com/retail/driverdownloads.aspx
here is a force driver load method - you may have to substitute REC for vol+: Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware. Wizard.
instead of dragging and dropping, try moving or copying the files to your player. other wise i would say just to turn off your comp or player. hope this helps! ~Rebecca~

Don't you have a User's Manual for the product?
Thank you very much, mixmaster!
