Question about Toymax Magnavox 37MF337B 37 in. LCD TV

Open Question

Power board Power supply was an issue. I sent the tv to a technician who found a problem with the board $100. The tv worked fine for a few minutes when it started to turn of for a few seconds and then automatically turned on in a cycle almost every minute. I took the TV back to the repair center and picked up a few days later. The same problem keep happening not so often but definitely annoying.

Also changed swollen C2074 and C2081 and it now works perfectly! a bit daunting for a novice like myself but with a steady hand and decent 'put it back the way you took it apart' skills, all went well!

SOURCE: When I press power, light blinks for about 15-20

Your television is in need of repair. Hard to tell what exactly needs to be repaired but when the power light blinks in that way then this is the TV's way to tell you it needs to be serviced.

Although a capacitor may look good, it may be weak or bad. Here is what you will have to do. Replace capacitor (location) 2074 which is a 25 volt 2200Mf at 105 degrees. Replace capacitor (location) 2081 which is a 35 volt 1200 Mf at 105 degrees. And you should change capacitor 2066 which is a 16 volt 10Mf at 105 degrees. Please be careful with the last cap mentioned. You can easily tear the PCB trace if you are not extremely careful. This should bring your TV back to life. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

SOURCE: popping in speakers then lines through picture sometimes no sound

Likely bad audio output circuit---it will usually be part of the main board in these sets----not likely to be a do it yourself repair.

Why does my Hisense tv randomly shut off

For a TV set to shut off randomly, it generally means that you have to ask for a technician to check its Power Supply Board.

If you have some knowledge about electronic, just open the TV and check for the PartNumber of the Power Supply of that specific model, and do a proper search on Gloogle_Search_Engine related to the same issue: BOARD NUMBER + ISSUE (stop working, works for a few minutes only... etc.) + SOLUTION.

This will offer a better understanding about the problem, so you may be OK to solved it alone.

Information is for all us to share, and you will surely find some about it. Good luck.

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. 32pt5441/37 TV shuts off after a minute or so

Hi,
It's the problem of overheating in the power supply board of the TV.on the power supply board of the tv there are few capacitors and IC.any of this ic is got short or may be weak.so due to this when you start the TV the current passes from electric outlet to the power supply board of TV.but when the current passes from that weak/faulty part at that time current gets stopped or slow and the board overheats and TV shuts off. this is a common problem faced by many other users too.the possible option to solve this issue is to check the power supply board by a meter and continuity tester and replace the faulty component on the board which is short due to which power supply board is getting overheated.its bit technical job but yes its not at all a costly repair to do or get it done by the technician. for required parts it can be easily available from local electronic hardware shop.
Good luck in solving the problem...
