Can't use recorder - in display EXT LINK with 00.00 flashing - pressing buttons doesn't help, disc won't eject
Have you tride unpluging .if so is there a factry rest in the menu if so do a factry reset

If I may offer an unconventional solution in addition to the initial post...
Connect all TV, VCR and DVD Recorder as to any way you want to connect them or as otacon have posted.
However, from your cable input from your provider, use a 3-way splitter. Connect the 3 outputs to the individual ANT INput of each of the 3 units (assuming all 3 have Cable/ANT INputs).
With this method all 3 can receive TV signals, both the VCR and DVD-R can record (even simultaneously) and you can switch watching one program on the TV, while recording another program in either the VCR or DVD-R or both.
