Hi,
You should, of course, read the manual and use whatever the Kawasaki company recommends. That said, most small air cooled engines will do very well using SAE 30 detergent motor oil. Look for 5W30 at the auto parts store.

What's the best oil for Honda em 400 power generator?

S.A.E grade 10w-30 multi grade oil its recommended from 60F and up.
For temp lower than 60F use the 20W oil

if its a new Gen(first operation). replace oil after 20Hr.

Other than that in normal working environment replace oil evry after 100Hr.

Dusty area shorten the time of replacing oil and cleaning air filter.

remember not replace hot oil or if the Gen runing !!

What grade oil do I use to change out on my Chicago Pneumatic RPC-561VNS? The manual says a compressor grade non-deturgent oil should be used, but does no specify a grade.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

Compressor grade oils are basically SAE30 W oil. Read this:

Rol-Air OILCOMP30W34C Air Compressor Pump Oil - 30W Quart features ,
Specially engineered and tested to match the requirements of Rol-Air air
compressors , Provides superior rust and corrosion protection.

I.e SAE 30W oil / the same thing you would use in an older lawn mower engine or generator.

What they don't tell you is because they have re-labeled the 30W oil to OILCOMP30W they can charge you big time for SAE 30W oil. The only difference is the label.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Have inherited a homelite generator- LR5000T what grade of oil does it take. Also, does it support 220 volt equipment? Equipment draws less than 15 Amps.

Hi,

Yes, this generator supports 220 volt. The grade of oil advertised for this generator is 10W30, 4-cycle.

I hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Kawasaki KX125 1999 What grade of transmission oil is best? 80W or 10W30. Does it matter? Thanks

The transmission does not take separate oil. The engine oil also lubricates the transmission. This is why you do not use oil marked "energy conserving", and why they market special motorcycle oils. 10w30 is fine for your engine.
