Ask your local TV shop if they have saved any of the mirrors from scraped Projection Tv's. If they don't have the exact one you can take a larger one to the hardware store where they can cut it down to size. Don't try and use a regular household mirrior as the Projection tv mirrors are " first surfice mirrors "

Hello, I'm sorry but the original mirror is no longer available from Mitsubishi. you may make a cardboard template, and it will have to be exact, and take it to a glass shop and have a mirror cut, it won't be as thin or optical grade, but it will work but the may be some slight distortions in some areas.....tks
THe part n umber will be dependent upon the exact model number of your set. Can you please post that model number. This entry is listed under model number PT-47WX49. Pleaes confirm the model so we can get the proper part number.
The power supply caps in the light engine power supply were faulty when they were installed. You need to remove the power supply and take it to your local electronics shop where they can remove the (7) faulty 1000uf 16v electrolytic capacitors and insert new ones. If you remove the power supply yourself (takes only a philips screwdriver) and reinstall it yourself, the electronics shop shouldn't charge you for more than an hour worth of time. The caps would be about $10. Here's a photograph (thanks Don Crawford).
Take the back bezel off. It should have many screws around it. then once open you should see the back of the mirror. Carefully take the screws out of the mirror, you may have to do some modifing with the new mirror if it does not come prefabed.
Can I ask you why you think the microprocessors bad? I have never in all of my years of repairing Mitsubishi TV sets ever had a bad microprocessor. Did a tech tell you this? Let me know what the symptoms are.
