Both times that a cd has become stuck in the player I simultaneously pushed the power and eject buttons. I came across this solution in the owner's manual and it worked perfectly both times I have had to do it.

Remove unit from dash and disassemble it (remove covers) then look for a small motor that actuates the cd transporter then turn that motor's shaft by hand in the direction to eject cd.

I had the same problem and what is happening is that the cd player is in lock mode meaning the cd won't come out. I beleive I read my manual and it told me how to unlock it. If I recall right I had to push two buttons at once, sorry can't remember which ones though. If you have your manual read through it for unlocking cd.

16 Prohibiting CD ejection You can prohibit CD ejection and can lock a CD in the loading slot. While pressing CD, press and hold 0 for more than 2 seconds. ā€œNO EJECTā€ flashes on the display for about 5 seconds, and the CD is locked and cannot be ejected. To cancel the prohibition and unlock the CD While pressing CD, press and hold 0 again for more than 2 seconds. ā€œEJECTā€ appears on the display, and the CD ejects from the loading slot

take player out of dash while power connected, tilt so that player faces down ,slap top of player with flat of hand and press eject.if no luck turn it over and try again ,,last resort , disconnect power from unit , take top off of unit and use fine knife or screwdriver or wire to get cd out, then disconnect battery for a ten minutes, put player back together and try (before you put player back in dash).

CD IS STUCK IN MY 2004 MERCURY MARQUIS. HOW DO I REMOVE CD?

Hi,
You might try resetting the CD player by removing all power, BUT this requires disconnecting the battery! If you're not familiar w/that process, take it to a shop.
NOTE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR Presets on the radio and you may need to also reconnect your keyless remote fobs. Read up in the Owner's Manual about how to do that.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to remove the CD Player from the car and manually try to open/retrieve the stuck CD.
Good luck

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler and a cd is stuck in the stereo. I've tried disconnecting the battery and several other things. it still plays though

it needs to be serviced.
best is to , remove it and upgrade to a media center with no CD.
CD;s are dead. everyone use flash USB sticks now,
like 4000 songs on one stick easy.

the HEAD end CD player must be dismantled to find cause.
it can be simple (done many i have) or hard, expensive and hard to get parts. inside. or just a dirty switch.
