Hi Warren Bailey,

Most possible reason could be the password is incorrect.

This could be reason that you are unable to check / access your comcast email address [email protected]

You can reset the password and try to login

Please follow the steps given below to reset your comcast password.

Comcast password reset
1. Go to the Forgot Your Passwordpage and enter your Comcast ID, Comcast email address or an email address linked to your account

  1. Click Next.
  2. Enter the security code in the box (see below for an example).
  3. Click Next.
  4. Answer your secret question (that you created during account setup) and enter your ZIP code.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Create your new password following the password guidelines and click Next.
When your password has been updated, you will receive a confirmation message.

You can also chat with Comcast Customer support representatives.

Can't open my e-mail at comcast.net

Try this: sign on to the home page at http://www.comcast.net

Then in the browser address bar enter mailcenter.comcast.net then click on Go or hit Enter. If the web mail page opens this almost certainly indicates a pop up blocker was preventing the web mail page from opening when you clicked on the email button.

You should be able to configure the pop up blocker to allow all comcast.net web pages.

Unable to get emails from Outlook Express. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity....

Who is your ISP? Is your Outlook Express correctly configured? Make sure your servers are correctly defined, ie for Comcast it might use mail.comcast.net for incoming, and smtp.comcast.net for sending. Your ISP has these server names they can give you.

Can't access my comcast e-mail.

FYI, I use Thunderbird as my mail client and rarely access the mail via the ISP site.
You can try that. Your pop setting should be mail.comcast.net
Your SMTP settting should be mail.comcast.net
Set it up with your username and password and check it out.
You may have to tell the program to use the same username and password for the SMTP server as the incoming mail.

Cannot receive mail into Outlook Express

your incoming server should be set to mail.comcast.net - not localhost and not Rich (outgoing server should be set to smtp.comcast.net) - this according to comcast.net website.

cheers
