I have had a Samsung LNT-4066F tv for a while now and have had these very thin multi colored vertical lines showing up on the left side of my screen. Some lines stay there and some flicker when the picture changes. The picture works and so does the sound. These lines are just annoying. Anyone know of an easy fix for these?

I just had my lower Y-buffer board swapped out to fix a problem similar to yours. After an hour and a half of on-time, the lower half of the screen would flicker on and off with the same appearance you mentioned. Changing out this particular board fixed it for me. However, since it has gone from top to bottom on your set, it may be more of a main board problem for you (that controls both upper and lower halves). Beyond this, I don't know any more. I am considering getting a service manual to gain more knowledge about the various PCBs in the unit so I can fix any future problems myself.

Unplug for 30 seconds from it's power source and then try it again. If that doesn't work, call Samsung for further troubleshooting and have your model number and serial number handy. Please be prepared to tell them how long the line is.

There are at least two issues here. First you have bad buffer boards. Second Very possibly a bad X-Main bd and P-Logic bds. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

more likely to be bad LCD panel (very expensive), but you can try replacing the LCD controller first (around $80~100).
