My machine accepted a fax transmission but is stuck in print mode. It starts to print but then stops and starts over again. None of the key pad keys work during this process. I had to unplug the machine.

In your fax machine is a thin shaft. Clean it with a dry cloth to take away the dirt to prevent from getting stuck or if that does not work, try another cartrige. If that also not work, then there is somthing wrong with the print head.
when this happens, unplug machine, hold down the "stop/exit" key while plugging machine in. continue holding the stop/exit key for 5 seconds. display should return to the regular date and time screen. if it doesn't, contact brother customer support. this problem is caused by a fax stuck in memory.
There should be a memory clear procedure in the menu to stop that.
You will have to reenter the time date, your phone and business name once you clear the memory.
I dont have a book for that particular machine, but faxs do have a memory clear feature for lock ups like that.
