Casio DR-210HT Calculator

Went to change ribbon - now will not print or feed paper. get an "E" when I try to print. The gears should move by hand but don't. Opened another working unit to compare and now they both don't work. There must be a gear release that became locked on both machines. How do I release it. Thanks

Adding machine worked fine yesterday. Today I have and Error message that has the machine totally locked up. I cannot get it to do anything. Is there a reset button somewhere?

SOURCE: Calculator will not print

I don't think you'll find parts for this, however I did find a used one, buy it now, for less than $20, shipped: http://cgi.ebay.com/Texas-Instruments-Electronic-Printng-Calculator-TI-5045_W0QQitemZ160148715050QQcmdZViewItem Buying a used unit and either replacing yours or using it for parts is probably your best bet.

SOURCE: E shows on display screen and my 5045 SVC calculator won't work n

Mine did the exact same thing, only when I would multiply or add 5 and 5, when I hit = it showed up 555. I just put it on POWER IC for about 15 minutes. Then hit the clear button at the same time as I turned off the power. When I turned the POWER ON there was no longer an E or the crazy triple digits. Hope yours does the same. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

SOURCE: I have a TI-5045 II Calculator that wont print

I have the exact same problem (just happended recently) with my TI-5045 II after 25 years of good service. My solution? I just bought another model: Sharp EL-1801V at Stapels for about $31.00. To get the old one fixed will probably cost me $25.00-30.00 just to diagnose, plus shipping and parts and labor. And that assumes I can find a shop to do it, or that TI still stocks the part(s) gone bad. Same old problem with all technology.

I replaced the roll of paper and now it will not

The Casio DR-T220 does not use regular adding machine tape, it requires a thermal tape since it is a thermal printer. There is no ink or ink ribbon in this caculator, it is heat activated and it is the special paper that make the numbers appear. Thermal tape is available at all office supply stores.

Turns out the incorrect type of paper was being used. The paper needed is the paper that is sensitive to pressure and this paper was not.

Jammed gears

Alignment of the gears is needed to solve this case. Although only authorized technician can only align these gears because it is too complicated.
