this may work for all universal remotes, im using the philips SRU3003/27 universal remote. it doesnt contain a code for my t.v., however after searching the internet n all that. i was able to program my tv. and heres how 1: Manually turn on ur tv 2:hold setup untill red indicator stays on and release button 3: press and quickly release what you wanna program (i.e tv,vcr, ect.) 4:press channel up repeatedly untill your t.v changes channels(up to 300 times) if you over shoot the channel change press down til it changes again. 5: press and release MUTE to install the code. i hope this helps for all those who have had to deal with these nice but annoying tv.s
It sounds like you may have a bad Horizontal Output Transistor (HOT)
and/or a bad Flyback Transformer. The set is trying to start as
indicated by the flashing light, but an internal fault is shutting it
down right away. It could also be the Power Supply circuit. A
32in. set is not cheap to replace so it may be worth finding a repair
technitian and at least getting a quote. The Flyback is the most
expensive part, the others are minimal. If it is one of the above
problems it could easily be repaired by a qualified technitian.
I bought one too! It failed in 6mos. I sent the $ and returned the bad one for another of the same "no choice". Now they suddenly "lost" my replacement. Fix that, haha. Do you have a fax# for RCA? Please help me.
I can only suggest that you Double check you have the connections correctly set ie. coax ariel to ,(dvd /digi box reciever ect...)
Also check again (& i know this is state the obvious)
your tv manual. IF you havent a manual do a google search for your tv (make & model) & search for a manual.
Ive have had a simmular experience when programming channels to a Vid-Recorder & when i finished the channels dissapeared.
I realised I didnt have the video set to the correct channel with the tv usually channel 9 or the highest channel on the tv.
So i waisted a good half hour for nothing.
