SOURCE: on a ferguson ted20 tractor which is the primary

The primary shoe is always the one that when activated its action is enhanced by the friction generated by the turning wheel - the one on the front of the tractor side. The secondary is the one in which the movement of the wheel tends to minimize its effects - the one to the back of the tractor.

How would i go about finding parts to a Harry Ferguson 1939 ttractor. I need head bolts. 7/16 x 20mm. Supposted to be compatible with Henry Fords 9N.i dont know how to search for this.

First there isn't any metrics to a 1939 ford. 7/16ths X 14, X 20, X 28. are the thread sizes. The last number is threads per inch. You need to measure the length of the bolt. Grade 8 is usually the hardest.

Where would i find the chassis number on a massey ferguson 3115

Climb up into the tractor's seat. Look below the lower left-hand side and lower right-hand side of the steering wheel panel for the serial number. Certain older Ferguson tractors have the serial number stamped to a plate that is mounted to one of these areas of the steering wheel panel.

Serial Number Plate:

Inspect the left- and right-hand sides of the tractor's main frame. Certain older Ferguson tractors have the serial number stamped to a plate on the outside of one of these areas of the main frame.

Inspect the top of the transmission housing for the serial number. Certain older Ferguson tractors have the serial number stamped to a plate that is mounted to the top of the transmission housing.

1960 massey ferguson hydraulic filter location

Hello, I would say just go to a NAPA parts store and ask for a filter. If they have one they would show a part number for it. Usually the older tractors for Ford and Ferguson did not use filters or at best had metal filters that you cleaned in solvent and reused. There are Repair Manuals in soft-cover which are available at places like Tractor Supply or online.

The old tractor makers considered the transmission and differential sealed systems. This means like your new car today does not have a filter in the differential. The old tractors had manual transmissions and the filters are common in automatics.

Be careful not to overfill the trans because on old tractors the gear lube will go out the axle tubes and into the brakes. If operated on a slope, it is possible to tilt the axle tube and have the excess lube flow into the low side axle tube, ruining the brakes.

Some of the parts for the Ferguson will interchange with the N Series Ford. Ferguson had some Industry innovations that later were stolen by other makers.

I have a 1950 ferguson to20 lift arm will not lift any weight ? this problem just happened is this a simple fix? like o-rings, check balls??? Thanks

maybe, If the hydro fluid level is up then you most likely need to change or clean the hydro filter. when they stop up they will cause it to cavitate. cavitation will add air bubbles to the fluid and make it look a little milky. It would be best if you can drain it and add new. please let us know if this helps. note that they will usually be jerky on lifting just befor no lift.
