Error E-90 means that something is stopping the ink carriage from moving its full extent. Open the scanner and check that the ink carriage lid is firmly locked down, check along the path of the carriage for any foreign/loose objects. Use an alcohol wipe or similar & gently wipe the plastic registration strip that goes through the top rear of the ink carriage. Be careful not to dislodge or damage it. If the carriage moves when you switch it on, pull out the power cable when it is across to the left and check for loose gears or foreign objects in the gears on R/H side. Hope this helps.

E-90

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors whilebeing in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC anduninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connectthe Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now checkthe printer properties to see the ink levels.

Try uninstalling, then installing the driver fresh. NOT an update. You could also have a bad printer cable, borrow one from a friend. No sense buying one as almost all new printers come with one!

Like most big manufacturers, Epson has good support on their website. Go to www.epson.com.au, then Drivers and Support. Select Multifunction Inkjet Printers, then Epson Stylus CX5900. Next page requires the Operating System, then download the driver.

I have a problem my printer cannot print because of E-91?

The error code is telling you that the Ink Pads for wasted ink need replacing. If you ignore this, there might be ink spillage within your printer.

Since I don't see the model CX5900 within the USA website, I will assume your in another country.

There is an Epson Ink Pads Reset Utility, but it is only offered within the USA. Here is the link, but the CX5900 will not be in its list. You might try fooling the system and get the CX6000 model. I am not sure if they have to be exact, or if it is the same utility program for all.
