Make sure ALL of the interconnected equipment is powered from the SAME receptacle to avoid ground loops due to the safety ground. DO NOT Use two wire power or use ground lifting plug adapters. Make sure you use balanced lines, either XLR or TRS cables. Do NOT use TS cables.

Humming noise while driving from left side wheel

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

If you feel that humming noise then it's definitely a worn out wheel bearing. It is connected on the wheel hub. You will need to remove the CV (constant velocity) joint to gain access to the wheel bearing. Have it replaced to get rid of the humming noise.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Hum from tv

try unplugging any equipment that you have attached to the tv one at a time, such as dvd players, surround sound, cable box, etc. also if you have a cable box attached, try adjusting the volume on it. if you have everything unplugged from tv and it still hums, then it may be a tv issue

I'm experencings a buzzing noise coming from the speaker when I turn on the tv....How can I get rid of this noise?

Give this a shot, it should fix the hum issue:

1. Turn tv on
2. Input mode should be tv
3. Turn volume to zero
4. With remote enter 9 8 7 6
5. A menu will appear on left side
6. Arrow down to backlight and with right arrow key move number from 81 to 83, press menu button twice,
7. Turn up volume and listen if hum is gone.

Let me know if this works.

Vizio 42'' HDTV flatscreen

The TV usually hums when the backlight setting is too low. So turning it up should get rid of the problem. To do this please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the TV on.
2. Press the Menu button on the remote, located right below the channel changing button.
3. Press the down direction button, located at the middle of the remote. Press that button until the backlight is highlighted.
4. Press the right direction button until the backlight is at 100.
5. Press the OK button and then the Exit button until you get back to your picture.

My onkyo tx-sr705 produces a humming noise out off all the speakers when no audio is played

I found the source of my hum. I have Direct TV HD. I found that going into the menu settings (Direct tv HD Receiver) /Audio/Sound Effects and turning that option off, I was able to rid myself of the annoying hum. The option has something to do with keeping the audio settings from channel to channel, while it is changing you hear dead air except for the hum. Nice and quit now. Love this receiver!
