Question about LG Studioworks 700S 17" CRT Monitor

LG StudioWorks 700s Monitor NO SIGNAL

Hey all, I picked up a LG StudioWorks 700s Monitor for an old system recently, and i'm not getting a signal. It powers up fine, light goes green for a second then stays orange, all the while the screen remains black. When i unplug it from my video card (i think its a nvidia geforce2 64meg)however, i get the NO SIGNAL flashing all over the screen. When i plug it back in, screen goes black again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ant

First of all I would check your video card. Do you have another monitor that works fine? If so I would hook the good monitor to your video card and see if you are getting a signal. If you still do not have a signal in the good monitor there is something wrong with your connection on your video card. Check the connector on your video card if it wiggles alot then it has come loose from the card. Best option here is to buy a new video card. If you feel that the connector is seated flush and does not move. Then you might want to look at two things. Either your monitor is not working properly or there maybe a piece of hardware that has come loose or unseated in your computer case. Try this and if you have problems feel free to contact me.

Lg crt md. no. 500g,uable to catch signal .always blingking...after along time it may be or not.

You need uninterrupted power supply to your computer so that it will not blink. Use AVR power supply to regulate the source.

StudioWorks 700s Monitor No Signal

It could be that the resolution settings that you had with the old monitor are not compatible with the new monitor. Try hooking up your old monitor and either lowering or highering the resolution and see if that corrects the problem. Can you give me the model number off the new monitor so I can further look into the compatibility of the video card and the monitor.

StudioWorks 700s Monitor No Signal

Try to connect the monitor to a different desktop/laptop, to see if it works at all.

Try a different monitor on your computer, to see if the video-card in your computer is the problem.

Or, spend $50 to $100 to buy a used 15-inch or 17-inch LCD monitor.
