Same problem as others are having. Check the
Sep 30th solution that I submitted regarding
opening the phone and sqweezing just to the left of the camera lens between the vol up/down and the lens The ribbon cable comes loose in that area, this technique usually restores operation to normal. Good luck.

The LCD flex connector is very sensitive. 4/5 of the RAZR screens I see go out are due to a loose flex connection. It's super easy to fix it. Take off the battery door. There are two T6 screws. Take them out and pop off the bottom of the phone. There are two flex cables: one for the keypad, the other for the screen. Connect the flat cable (screen cable) first. Then connect the bent (keypad) cable. Put back together. Voila.
if the keypad only lights up for a about 1 second wen trying to switch it on u may need to reflash the cell, trying holding down * and # then press the power button while holding them down... if it takes u to a black screen with a bunch of numbers then u definately need to reflash
Sounds like your phone's been through some rough treatment - try taking the battery & sim card off for a while - make sure there's no moisture & if you're still having problems, stop by your dealership shop & see what they can do.
