CD player not turning

I have a JVC music system (CA-S20BK)which is working perfectly except for the cd player. When a cd is inserted into the player the cd door closes ok but the cd does not rotate in the system and a "no disc" message comes up in the display. I have tried cleaning the optic but to no avail. Any bright ideas?

I have a Sony home 3CD AM/FM casett system, if I insert one or three cd's the turntable operates, but it does not 'read" the cd, and indicates "NO DISK", is this a cleaning issue?

I have a Technics 5 cd player. Took the cover off and was able to notice that when the player was on the CD rotation unit was not turning. So I gave it a push with my finger and the CD began to spin. So i tried to blow air around this location. It have begun to work again, but for how long.

Is there a small motor that causes the CD to spin and can it be replaced.

ANy comments. ANd If this can be done, where does one get the parts.

    THanks

Take off the cover and look at the unit from the rear. Just below the lens there is a component with a yellow cross head. I have just fixed this problem by giving this a slight adjustment (maybe 1/10 of a turn) counter clockwise. So far so good. Hope it works for somebody else.

The laser is damaged/worn out. It would be cheaper to purchase a whole new unit, instead of repairing that one.

JVC ca-mxkc58 buttons have stopped working

Your control board is unplugged internally or it is shot. You might be able to find a replacement for the board but you will have to take it out first.

Jvc kd-sx770 car stereo--radio works, but cd player doesn't

Hello beeswing70,

The player is recognizing that a CD has been inserted but is not able to read it.

Sometimes the lens assembly becomes contaminated and obscures the laser. I'd try using a commercial "lens cleaning CD" two or three times and then try a CD again. These lens cleaning CD's are widely available. If cleaning does not help, the player need professional service.

Hope this helps.

CD player not turning

the tray should have a micro switch to touch when its closed. maybe it needs some fine adjustment. if it doesnt say closed then the laser drive wont start. or maybe the magnetic clamp hasnt come down onto the disc properly

When a blank cd is put in screen says "NO AUDIO CD"

Make sure that the CD-R you're using is a "Digital Audio" CD-R. The distinction is marked on the packaging and on the disc. The packaging usually says "Music CD-R." The JVC XL-R5010 won't take data discs to burn music.
