You need to Set the Desktop Display Settings to match those advised by the monitor... in other words, your desktop's resolution settings aren't supported by that monitor, so right click on desktop, choose settings, and change the resolution (1440 x 900 ) and set the Refresh Rate (60 Hz).

Frequency out of range 11khz/ 119khz message

The PC is sending out the resolution that is too high for the monitor to handle, you need to set the resolution of the PC to be the native resolution of the monitor and set the refesh rate to be at 60Hz.

In the middle of my screen a blue box is showing and in it this reads OUT OF RANGE H. FREQUENCY 68.7 KHz V. FREQUENCY 85.0Hz What does this mean and how can I fix it this was a gift...

That message appears when the Windoze display settings exceed the monitor capabilities. If you will boot into windoze safe mode (F8 at boot) and correct the display settings, the message should clear at the next boot. Afterwards you can right click on the desktop and access the display settings to make final adjustments.

In your case, the refresh rate (V Frequency) should not exceed 70 Hz

"out of frequency range" message nothing works

Try booting to the ENABLE VGA mode off the F8 menu if you can get to the desktop and then you can go to display properties and see if you can reset the resolution to normal. If no go, try updating the video driver

Monitor shows out of range when not in safe mode

Mine displayed out of range when i tried to go too high with the screen resolution. Totally flipping out like an untuned tv. Display properties of 1280x800 work best for me... though i wish i could go bigger without weird stretching of the view
