The Logitech Z-340 control pod or a compatible controller can be found in a few different places. Here are a few options:
Logitech website: You can check the Logitech website to see if they still carry the control pod or compatible controller for the Z-340.
Online retailers: You can check online retailers such as Amazon, eBay, and Best Buy to see if they have the control pod or compatible controller in stock.
Specialized Electronic retailers: Some specialized electronic retailers like B&H, Newegg, and Fry's may have the control pod or compatible controller.
Local electronics stores: You can check local electronics stores in your area to see if they have the control pod or compatible controller in stock.
Second-hand marketplaces: You can also try checking second-hand marketplaces like Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and OfferUp to see if someone is selling a used control pod or compatible controller.
It's important to note that, if you decide to go for a non-Logitech controller, you should make sure it's compatible with your Logitech Z-340. And it's best to check the compatibility before buying the controller.
Make sure your plug is inserted all the way and that there is no dirt or residue on it. Also you can open the volume panel by double clicking on the volume logo in the bottom right of the start menu. Make sure the balance slider is in the middle for the main volume control.

Hi there , not long ago I was having issues with my VS 2420 I wasn't getting any replies to my queries when requesting help through the web site then someone forwarded me the following Contact: [email protected] , seems to be manager customer care I got a reply within 24 hrs and a new one was shipped to my UK address within 58 , awesome service ! :D
had the same issue. Trial and error - I tried shorting every pair in the control pod dock with a paper clip. Turns out it is totally possible to bypass. You need two: top row, right side to third row, one from the right (below it by two spaces), and second row (there are only two in the second row, connect them). One tells it to turn on, the other passes audio through. I'm only getting sound from the right channel, so probably need to connect one more pair...
Try changing the plug on the control pod, those plugs are fairly weak and prone to breakage. Does there appear to be any strain at all on the plug itself? if so then that is where I would start. If you have a series 2 then I can help you, or if you can find out if the 2 control pods are the same, that would be fine too, but I have a series 2 system companion 3 and if needed I will cut my cable to trace the wiring and then replace your plug for you. my cost for this would be $40, that includes return shipping with priority mail.
look for a vacuum pod or tank under the hood. this is most likely where the interior vacuum controls get the vacuum. Does the pod have a line that connects to the intake manifold, or the brake booster? It should., if not find missing vacuum line and repair. Follow the other vacuum line from the pod to the interior, (it is important to find the line going to the interior, as there may be more than one at the pod) is it connected to the controls? it should be. Here is a simplified verbal schematic... vacuum from engine to pod, vacuum from pod to vacuum controlled devices. GM often color codes the interior vacuum lines and that makes them easier to follow under the dash.
