SOURCE: missing dot in all colors
Yes your print head is clogged, Ive tried a few times to refurb these particular heads with very poor results, we change them under warranty but not worth while otherwise,(150aus$) 90% of print quality faults I see I can put down to inferior ink being used threw mechanisms. There is also a power purge in service mode that pumps 1/3 of each ink cartridge threw machine and dumps it but it fails to repair missing dots most times too. Ive also seen people with nothing but the best ink used get long life out of machine, In my eyes it is cut and dry with recycle products there is a cost in the savings, Inks have many different thickness, stability's and flow charactistics more than just pigment or dye being the issues causing problems blocking microscopic little holes. Yes there is a limit to cleaning cycles it is called the waste ink counter, it stops machines function eventully before overfilling of the waste ink pads occur, I usally see the print head dead before this occurs otherwise it is a very cheap new waste box replacement and waste counter reset im not sure of life in pages they count it in dots produced

Replace the cartridges.
Otherwise, it's unorthodox, but some users have found that this works in your situation. Remove the cartridge, cover the nozzle with a paper towel and use the pointed attachment of a vacuum to clean the dry ink from the cartridge. Be careful not to get ink all over. Then reseat the cartridge and print...

Open up amd release blue stay at bottom by pressing edges inward and pulling slightly forward. Remove the 4 screws, 2 small plastic covers and the earth screw. Pull out the ribbon connector near the USB plug. Unplug the 2 white and one red connectors, noting how the cables fit in. Fully open the lid and pop the scanner part off. Remove all the ink cartridges. Now using a flat screwdriver unclip the top of the base all the way round and lift off. The print head is now accessible. Rotate the white paper feed cogs to release the print head. Slide it all the way to the right and remove it by tilting the back edge upwards. You mow have access to the print head!!!!

Remove your ink cartridges. Dampen a clean rag with water. Slide the ink cartridges across the rag a few times. The water will break down any harden ink build up and remove it. With the cartridges removed take a few cotton swabs and place a couple drops of water on the cotton swabs. (No dripping). Clean the inside of the ink carriages. Continue this until all ink has been removed. Lastly, place a couple drops of house hold alcohol onto a cotton swab and clean the copper inside the carriage and on each ink cartridge. This removes any oils. Do not touch the copper with your fingers. Re-insert your ink and run the alignment program. Than print a test page. If this fails to fix the problem you may need to replace your ink cartridge. (Always keep your printer covered when not in use). This helps keep dust and excessive air from entering the openings of the printer.
Cheers!

take swabs and use alcohol to manually clean it...GENTLY and with not too much alcohol. You will go through several swabs. Use the foam swabs, not cotton, so you don't leave junk behind.
