Can't get old filter out and where and what kind of filter do i get?

you should be able to press and hold the water filter light button for 3 or more seconds and it should reset

AFTER CHANGING THE FILTER . YOU THEN HAVE TO HOLD DOWN THE LIGHT BUTTON AND THE LOCK BUTTON AT SAME TIME FOR APPROX 3 SECONDS AND THE FILTER LIGHT WILL FLASH THEN GO OUT

I have a Maytag side by side with water/ice dispenser in door and filter for water. I changed the filter upon moving into house the change filter light came on and I can't get it to go off. How do I reset the change filter light (it's not time to change the filter)? The model # is MSD2732GRW and I don't have a manual for this refrigerator. Thanks!!

the ukf7003 filter is the correct one for your mod. the leak may be inside the freezer . the drain in back may be iced over and the defrost water is flowing out the door and not the drain/ but do ck the pan under neath and make sure it's nt cracked and is in place . .. place some towles around the base to locate where the water is commong from .. mm

Reminder function monitors the life of the
filter and provides a reminder when it is time
for the filter to be changed.
When the system detects either 12 months
of usage, or the filtering of 416 gallons of
water (whichever comes first), the CHANGE
FILTER indicator light will illuminate. This
indicates that the water filter should be
changed and the light reset.
To reset CHANGE FILTER light: Press and
hold the LIGHT and LOCK pads until the
CHANGE FILTER light blinks (approx. 3
seconds). The control is now reset for 12
months or another 416 gallons.
Note: The Water Filter Reminder will
operate if the filter bypass is in place.

For my Maytag Refrigerator Model # MSD 2756 GE, I had to hold the "Light" & "Lock/Unlock" buttons simultaneously until the "Change Filter" light went off instead of the "Water" & "Lock/Unlock" buttons.

Does the water have a good flow ? Did you try putting the old filter back in ? Never change the filter just because a little red light comes on . Only replace when the ice cubes get small or the water dispensor flow gets slow . I have found new filters that were bad . Distributors make a lot of money for filters just because of that little red lite . Not just maytag , but all other brands also . Try pouring about 1/2 cup of water into icemaker . If it dumps the cubes but doesn't fill , replace the water valve . If it doesn't dump , and holds the cubes for a long period of time , replace the icemaker . Also , you may need to clean the coils of dust , lint , etc....

Pull the old filter out and install new one and put cap back on

Hold the lock and light buttons in together for 3 secs. or so and the light will go out! You don't even need to change the filter to do this.

Check/clean/replace dual water inlet valve/solenoid.
