Need tv code for a Spectra SS213 TV (Strawberry Shortcake) Just had Dish Network installed. I would like to turn the Strawberry Shortcake tv on and off

You should be able to simply shut the unit off, & turn it back on after a few minutes. This will reboot the player & it should perform normally. If this fails, look for a tiny reset switch somewhere on the unit. It will be marked, but may be a tiny hole with very small lettering, that requires a pencil point to activate.

To program your DISH Network remote to your Sony TV you will simply- press and hold the TV Mode button until all the other mode button back lights illuminate, then release.

-Now while the TV mode button is blinking please enter in the remote code 500 which is the remote code for your Sony TV after entering 500 then press the pound (#) key.

-After pressing the # key on the DISH Network remote, the TV mode button should blink 3 times and then turn off completely. This will mean the programming of the DISH remote to your TV has been completed successfully. While still in TV mode try any of the functions on the remote, such as turning the volume up or down on your TV or attempting to press the power button.

-The DISH Network remote should now be programmed to control your TV.

-If the remote code 500 doesn't program the DISH Network remote successfully you can also try each of the following using the same procedures, 000, 590, 640, 502, 002, or 567.

First clean the laser head with a Qtip and alcohol. It gotta be perfectly clean, so wipe with fresh brand name qtip and make sure there is not a single dust particle on it. You gotta remove the cabinet with star screwdriver. Your beam might be tired. First try with the clean up! Unplugg before opening!

goto the menu and make sure it is set to cable and not to off air or local setting. after setting to cable, run an auto scan to lock in available channelss

On your dish remote, press and hold the tv button until all 4 buttons light up, then release. push either of the power buttons once. Now start pushing the down channel button, It's the one right below select, continue pushing it until tv turns off. When tv goes off push down button one more time then push up button, when tv turns back on stop and press # key, tv light will flash 3 times and should be set. Note....if u press down button and tv does not turn off after going through all codes( tv light will start flashing) press cancel and try again only channel up this time. hope this helps.

I don't think there is a Direct TV remote code for this type of television. (Strawberry Shortcake). I'm assuming the reason is because this is such a cheap, generic tv that Direct doesn't recognize it. "Strawberry Shortcake" isn't as big as "Hello Kitty" I guess.
. This is sad because even though the big, pink power button has popped off to where you have to press the little rubber nub, my daughter has been using hers for well over two years where many reviewers have given the tv model bad reviews of breaking down after only 6 months. Hers did not come with a DVD player, although it IS a SS213 model.

Sounds like the power supply may be going out, or check and see if there is a circuit breaker button on the back. Otherwise there may e a blown fuse that is internal. Don't open the back unless you have training on what is safe to touch as the picture tube can maintain a HUGE electrical charge that can stop your heart if you accidently touch the wrong thing. Sounds like a weak power supply tho. Jay

100% you have or a faulty tuner inside that has to be checked for dry joints or it has to changed completely. Patrick
