I bought a brand new Logic3 GameCube controller a few months ago with a copy of Resident Evil. I played through it fine on my Wii then put the controller away in my cupboard, in perfect condition. Today I got Metroid Prime so got out my controller and plugged it in, yet none of the buttons are registering. The controller hasn't changed or gotten dusty or anything, and it's receiving power as the light comes on inside the controller. The only thing that's changed on my Wii since then is a system update. Button presses aren't registering in either of my GC games.
Logic 3 controllers are not good, return the logic 3 controller to the store and buy a NINTENDO wavebird instead, i bought mine used and it is perfectly fine. you might have the controller plugged into port (....[4]) instead of port ( . [1]) so try that or buy a wavebird instead ( if you ask me , buy the wavebird). I think my sister's friend's brother had the same problem. But he gave up on it. Probably faulty. Third party gamecube and wii accessories (excluding nyko) are bad or do not last very long.

Thanks for replying (many months later :p)
It turned out the controller was broken. I contacted Logic and they replaced it free of charge to one of their brand new white 'Wii' GameCube controllers instead, which is working fine. I'm very happy with it! :)

well this is my problem , my wii works fine but my little bros 4th gamecube port doesnt work. all the other do. the light comes on but the wii just doesnt read it. ive tryed plugging in 3 other ones that i know work and the same thing happens. anyone know how i can fix it ?
I brought Super Mario Sunshine and a Logic3 Memory card and gamecube controller for my Wii. The memory card is fine, but the controller suddenly seized up and the controls weren't working properly and was set up properly and in good condition as well.
