Try using the default password 0000 or if that doesn't work, go to menu, lock and see if the lock system is on.. If the lock system is on, turn it off.
Check the TV user's guide for more info.

The 26LC2R front panel lock is accessed from the Menu. Since it is locked, you will need the remote (or one that matches the Menu function). Press Menu, then use the up/down arrows to select Special. Then press the right arrow button and go up or down to Child Lock. Press the right arrow and select Off. Then press Exit or Menu.

I recall that you need to press the MENU/INDEX button on the LG remote about 3 or 4 times to open the child-lock menu, then use the LEFT or RIGHT arrows (next to "OK") to switch the child-lock to OFF.

Hold down the MENU button on the remote for approx 5 seconds. Then enter 1105 this will access the hidden hotel option on the LG tv so you can change whatever you like..

hi..To do a Child Lock, follow these steps:

1. Turn on your TV.
2. On the remote, press the Menu button. The Set-Up Menu appears.
3. Scroll to the Key Lock function and set function to Off.
4. Press the Exit button to exit....

You cannot unlock the TV without the remote. It will require a numeric password that you gave it and that can be only done with the remote. You can get a universal remote to do this without waiting for a replacement from LG/ZENITH

go to the lock option in the menu screen, either press 0 0 0 0 or 7 7 7 7 that should unlock on lg sets anyway
