Cant figure tha wpa - psk/ wpa2- psk number to connect my playstion

Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the Playstation, laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the playstation, laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

We cannot sign on to the playstation. we are getting error message 80710092

If the PS3 can sign on when directly connected to the modem, there may be an issue with the router or just settings on your playstation. Make sure that in the PS3 under network settings you have enabled the connection you are using. If it is a wireless connection make sure you have copied the setting on your router and computer. You may have security enabled. Test if you can browse using its built in browser. If it can but would not sign in, check the setting of your account. It may just be an incorrect user name or password.

I got a charter internet router thet hooks to the cable service it does not have a phone connection and I have a 2 wire 2701hg wireless router is there a way to connect the two for my playstation 3 in the...

Wireless Connection

  1. Write down your wireless network name (SSID -example 2WIRExxx) and the security key (WEP key)
    • If you are using an 3rd party(PlayStation) wireless networking adapter (sold separately from your system), connect the USB connector to the USB port on the back of the console. Do not use the front USB ports.
  2. Turn on your console and wireless device.
    • If you have a wireless-to-Ethernet bridge, turn on the device.
    • If you have an 3rd party (PlayStation) wireless networking adapter, the device turns on automatically with the console.
  3. Turn on your 3rd party(PlayStation) console.
    • If this is the first time you are turning on your console, complete the initial setup and create a profile before continuing.
  4. In the System area of the 3rd party(PlayStation) dashboard, select "Network Settings."
  5. Select "Edit Settings."
  6. From the Basic Settings tab, select "Wireless Mode."
    • You are asked to set your locale if you have not set it on the console. Your locale is the country or region from where you are connecting to3rd party(PlayStation) Live.
  7. Is your wireless network name (SSID - 2WIRExxx) displayed on the screen?
    • If it is displayed, select it.
    • If it is not displayed because you are connecting to a wireless network where the network name is not being broadcast, choose "Specify Unlisted Network". Select the security type for the network, and enter the wireless security settings for the network.
  8. Enter the WEP Key.
    • If encryption is disabled on your HomePortal, you will not have the option to enter wireless security settings.
  9. When prompted, select Test Xbox Live.
If the Xbox Live test reports Connected, congratulations! You are now successfully connected your Xbox 360 console to Xbox Live. Select "Edit Settings" to review your settings or Xbox dashboard (Y button) to begin gaming.

How do I connect my ps3 to the internet and tv so as to view the net on tv?

It's a semi-long process. Do you have a wireless router hooked up to your computer? If so just go to settings then network settings in your ps3 menu. If you have the wireless router then put wireless connection and its straight forward from there. If it is a wired connection and hooked to your ps3 than put wired connection and again its straight forward from there.

I have a PS3 120GB. Recently installed Hi-Def and wireless in home. The wireless router is not in same room with PS3. Is there a device I can add to the PS3 to enable the wireless features, or does it have...

there is already a built in wireless device for the internet. id say its not working because you need to put your I.P adress, subnet mask, router and DNS numbers into playstation. go to settings on ps3. then network settings. manually install all these numbers. you should be able to get them off your laptop or computer when its connected to the internet. if you cant ring your internet provider to grt them.
