Question about Epson Perfection 1200 Photo Flatbed Scanner
I have had this scanner for several years and it has always worked well. Last month the transparency adapter suddenly stopped working. The light would not go on, and scanner was unable to detect a transparency image when running a scan. Because some of the metal prongs on the adapter plug were bent and some were broken, I thought that was the problem. I ordered a virtually unused adapter from someone off E-bay as a replacement, but I find that one won't work either. What could the problem be and is there a solution? Note: I am not anywhere near a repair facility. Thanks for any help.
It could be a couple things without looking at it. one, the one you got also is bad.
two, the bent prints from the first one, may have ruined the interface boared on the scanner.
three, are you sure you have it setup for the transparency.
four, the bulb could bad on the transparancy adapter.

I don't understand this proposed solution. It is far too cryptic for me.
