I have a VIZIO LCD TV Model voj320f1a, it will not come out of standby mode(vizio logo is on constantly orange/amber color. I've tried the unplugging it, for seconds and minutes with no success. The color never changes. I also do not have a remote for it. I don't know if that is relevant or not. All the caps on the pwb looks good, solder joints are good. Any ideas what is wrong with the TV? Please help. Thanks
I've tried the rest issues, no fix or change, all the capacitors are good and isn't a pwb problem. I am a certified tv tech but have never faced this issue. I am leaning either toward the main board or the Tcon or inverter board. Any other suggestions that MIGHT ACTUALLY work instead of the same answers that some of you post for every problem...ie, leaking or bad capasitors DO NOT fix all problems. Vizio logo is an indicator that the tv is live n changes to white that the screen is on meaning if no change to white the smps switch mode power supply board ain't switching the mother board....diagnosis is its MOSFET transistors need replacement or the smps board n ya tv will be fine
If the Vizio logo(power indicator) isn't coming on when the set is plugged in, most likely you have a issue with the power supply. Your standby power supply isn't working, and without it, you will have a dead set.
Check all electrical connections. If standby light is off when plugged in, probably needs Power Supply board replaced. If standby light is on (Orange/Amber color) may need Power Supply board and or Main Board. If set was shutting down on it's own leading up to it not powering on at all, may need Main Board, and possibly Power Board as well. If standby light has changed from Orange/Amber color to Green, the set IS powered on, and you have an issue other than power.
