You can still hear the sound, but the picture

Have you replaced the lamp recently? they can fail if they are on when the storm happens? Please post your model # for more info.

I often see things like that, mostly occurs because the problem panel.
To ensure it, first turn tv on than wait a minute until you hear a sound from a channel tv.
After you hear a sound and still no pict, knock gently the panel with your hand ( not too hard but not too soft). If you see a flashing light (on area you knocked) , that mean back light panel is OK. Open rear cover , there are 2 boards (Power board and Main board) and 2 board attached on panel (inverter and T-con) , "beware with high voltage on power an inverter board". Check connection on t-con and main board, clean it with brush to remove dusts on it. if still make no changes , replace the t-con board.



Second, repeat first step above. If there are no flashing light on knocking area,. that problem from inverter board. Replace it. If any problem and questions, please let me know.

This problems the FBT-the Flyback Transformer have cold solders.Must resolders the FBT.The right side wall of the FBT-the "H" horizontal transistor,must be also resolder too.

The tv have 1 or 2 long boards call the LCD inverter boards.These 1 or 2 long inverter boards are dead.That why the LCD screen not getting a backlight to produced a picture.Replaced those 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards,will get a baklight back and have picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com buy those refurbishes 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.

you must check ic 7101.7201,7301 they are the possible problem

(i) Disconnect all the cables from the TV including the power cable then reconnect them after a few minutes.
(ii) Make sure that the power cord from the TV is directly connected to a functional wall outlet.

If the standby light keeps flashing then service will be required.

You may want to change the lamp. It may be on the edge of failing totally.

When I turn on my TV it goes straight to the menu screen. You can still hear sound but no picture. When I try to exit you see the picture for about a second then it automatically flashes back to the menu screen. Even if I try to use the functions in the menu screen it flashes right back to the main menu screen. Very frustrated...need help!

Lamp life is only a few thousand hours. Hopefully its only the lamp that made to noise. Don't turn on again until lamp is replaced.
