Hi Ecenthia. For the "Call forwarding" to work, you need to get in touch with your telephone service provider & subscribe to the call forwarding service.

Hope that'll help you in some way.

How can I setup forward call to my cell from VTECH DS6251-2

Call forwarding is an add-on feature provided by your telephone company for a fee. Contact the phone company. The V-Tech DS6521-2 has the option of transferring a call between handsets, not to a cell phone. This uses the intercom feature to call another handset. See page 18 of the manual for more information.

The manual for the phone is available on the product page: https://www.vtechphones.com/store/pd/4158/DS6251-2-2-Line-2-Handset-Cordless-Phone-with-Answering-System-Smart-Call-Blocker . Expand the Support and Manuals section. The link to the user guide is currently: https://cdn-web.vtp-media.com/products/DS/DS6251/DS6251-X_WEBCIB_V4_20200623.pdf .

I hope this helps.

How do i enable call forwarding from my vtech phone to my cell phone

Hello! You can turn on call forwarding by pressing 72# then wait until you hear the two tones and dial your number that you wish to send the calls to and then hang up the phone. The two tones signal that it has understood your command and is putting the line into forward mode.

To turn off cal fowarding, press 73# and wait again for the two tones and hang up.

I want to forward my cell phone text to another cell phone

The only way to forward text messages from one cell phone to another is to manually go into the message>options>forward. You cannot forward text messages like you can phone calls. It is not possible right now.

Can I divert calls from this phone to another phone? Thanks MArk David

  • Figure out if your particular cell phone model has the option to forward incoming calls. You can do this by visiting your cell phone manufacturer's website or reading the manufacturer's manual that came along with the purchase.

  • Access the "Settings" menu on your cell phone and select "Phone Settings" menu.

  • Select the "Call Forwarding" option in the "Phone Settings menu. This option is usually found at the bottom of the "Phone Settings" menu. Selecting the "Call Forwarding" option gives you access to call-forwarding controls.

  • Switch on the "Call Forwarding" slider. The default position is off.

  • Insert the phone number you wish to forward your calls to in the "Forward To" field. This field most commonly lies below the "Call Forwarding" slider.

  • Exit the setup menu by pressing the home button. You may be asked to confirm/save the changed settings depending on your cell phone model.

  • Make a test phone call to the cell phone number on which you just enabled the call rerouting option. If the call is forwarded and received on the number you entered, it means that the "Call Forwarding" option has been activated.

Who provides your dial tone? You will have to find out their code for forwarding calls to a cell.

SBC/AT&T/Ameritech uses #72, then dial the number you want to forward to

I need to set up call forwarding on a samsung phone, model t319, for the first time

Call forwarding depends on you service provider, if available. Most providers use (*72 and then the forwarded #). *73 is used to cancel.

If this does not work, try *611 and ask your provider.
