this should be due to a bad UMD laser, you may need to buy a new one.make sure you get a good guide because the install is pretty technical stuff. Check out http://www.squidoo.com/psp-repair They can show you
how to fix anything on your psp: firmware, the LCD screen, joystick, any and everything!rate me if this works..
there are two remedies for this problem
1st is your not using a firmware attached to this games .these are 6.00 firmware games so try to install 6.00 firmware and look iam sure the game will work,if your using custom firmware upgrade to 5.0 gen d2 and it will be ok 100% sure
sometimes the games are patched to run in a firmware inferior than 6.00 so it will not play on 6.00
try downloading a non patched version (although i dont trust this remedy)
if you think that i had spent sometime for your problem and did this for your sake rate this helpful and rate this helped you
it is probable that you are using a firmware which is out of date (eg 2.10)or so almost all games released after 2008 are only running for firmwares above 6.00 so try upgrading to 6.00
if you are using custom firmware upgrade to 5.50 gen d2 and it will help
or there is some problems with the the memory stick
go to a technician(but try the first upgrading and start up first and look if the games run ,if it does not work go to technician and look up
if this helped you or you think that i spent some time to help you please rate helpful and rate this helped you
hi , This problem can be caused when u have a memory stick inserted on your psp .
so first of all remove the memory stick and UMD from the unit
also remove the battery
now wait for 30 sec and just insert the battery to the PSP
if it turns on that means ther is some problem with the memory stick
so try formatting the memory stick
and if there if still proplem persist that means there is some internal firmware of hard ware error so in that case contact SONY
this is a bug/glitch in the psp system i would advise using pandoras battery and just put it back to 1.5 and try using custom firmware it runs smoother if you are not experienced with the psp get someone who is that has custom firmware to make a pandoras battery and downgrade to 1.5 then just update normally if that dosnt work try sending it to sony but this happens to me too sometimes not that often though ever since i went to custom firmware if you do get pandoras battery and want custom firmware look up Angelmikey all his psp videos are to the point and very deatailed hope this helps
this is what we call a BRICK
its when a PSP's firmware gets corrupted
so it wont work
there are several ways to fix this:
if its still on warranty you may want to bring it to the store where you bought it
you can buy a new motherboard for it
bring it to sony for repairs
oR
use a pandora battery
