There is a rubber washer that fits in the faucet before you put the adapter on. That washer is probably missing.

The faucet adapter usually does not need Teflon tape. A pair of pliers is only needed for a half turn. It's very easy to over tighten and strip out threads causing leaks.

Hi. I bought the SPT Model 206343600 for my daughter. She has a pull out faucet, not your typical faucet. Can this dishwasher still be used?

NO you can’t. These are portable dishwashers that hook to the sink. In order for the quick connect to fit on the faucet, it must be a American Standard faucet. The pull out kind won’t fit on the faucet and no adapter is made.

I was given a Kenmore portable dishwasher, ID# 3379934A, without an instruction manual. I cannot get it hooked to my faucet correctly without water spraying all over the place when I turn on the faucet....

You'll need to go get an adapter that hooks on to your faucet. I just had the same problem. It was around $8.50

Hello there:
you are going to want to make sure that the threads on the hose match the faucet and also make sure that the gasket is in place you might even need to get a adapter for the unit to hook up to the faucet.
i would consult the manufacture or the users guide for further help

Portable dishwasher won't stay connected to the kitchen faucet

it the faucet connector has a lever u push in order to latch on to the faucet, just jam something under it so it maintains upward pressure and wont come unlatched when the water starts flowing

Just got the Haier hdt18pa portable dishwasher

You have to buy an adapter for the faucet that allows the hose to hook up. You an get it at any hardware store. It's easier to get a dishwasher installation kit and just hook it up permanently.
