turn the volume down on the remotes all the way, then adjust with your hand on the actual tv, or if you are playing a dvd, might have the audio video cables wrong

Press the volume up key on right side of handset to adjust volume, when you hear a loud beep it means it is high as it can go

Try pressing all the buttons on the remote simultaneously-this will reset the remote & then program the remote to the TV. You can also try and power cycle the TV by unplugging the TV from the wall for a minute, then plugging it back in & power it on. Restore any changed system settings to factory defaults.

No,the tv was previous in the Hotels or hospitals.This type of tv is special designs for Hospitals and Hotels.

Since you have it hooked up to the stereo system, you need to go to on screen audio set up and turn off the TV built-in speakers (you will be listening the TV sound through your stereo system speakers), then go to the audio output set up and set it to 'variable' so the audio output of the TV's RCA audio out put will vary with the volume control of the TV (not all TV will alow this function), you will need to set the stereo volume to certain level (around 9~10 O'clock setting) since the sound coming from the TV will be controlled by the TV remote volume control. You can otherwise set the TV output to be at 'fixed' level, which means the sound output of the TV will not be controlled by the TV remote volume control, you will use the stereo remote volume control to adjust the sound level instead. The way the headphone jack works is:

plug your headphones in and then mute the television using the remote.

While the TV is muted you can still use the volume up and down controls to adjust the volume through the headphones. I find that having the volume at 60-75% is more than loud enough on the headphones.

Just be careful when you unplug the headphones and take the TV off of mute, if your volume levels are still turned up you will be in for a jolt :)
