Hi There Try this,
VOLUME
Try Adjusting the vlume on your PC first. Check the volume on the Headphone too if there is one.
CLEANING
Using a dump clothe. Wipe the plugs with a twisting motion.
If all fails then You may have a Sound Card problem. Using a spare Speaker or Headphone check it if it works. If its not then its Defective and needs replacement. If its working then your Speakers or Headphones are defective. Try fixing them by cleaning or checking the Continuity of its cables using a analog Multi tester.
Hope This helps

If the track can be armed for recording, it won't show anything until you arm that track. Otherwise, check to see if you can hear anything on the main output. If so, then it's just the lights, which will not affect functionality.
If you have left the earphone plugged in to the laptop for a long time, this may have bent the contacts in the socket, and stopped the speakers from working.
go to control panel> hardware and sound> sound; click recording tab, select USB Audio Codec, select Properties, click Advanced tab, select 2 Channel 16 bit 44100Hz and then hit apply. You have to make sure you have the 2 channel option selected. otherwise the computer just recognizes one channel and assigns it for playback. HTH
Did you drop it? Try
recording a sound file and play it back and see if you can hear what you recorded.
If it doesn't work, you probably broke you smaller speaker.
