Hi there, I have a Fisher and Paykel Smart Drive 085 5.0kg washing machine. It won't spin or drain. When it is trying to spin it makes a strange buzzing noise. Recently it has also had issues filling. It will start filling but get an error before the wash is full. Once I've manually filled it, it's been working fine. Could these two things be related? The was cycle still works great, but the rinse and spin cycle don't anymore. Please help

Spin the fan on water pump (you can acess with difficulty from bottom of washer) if it has a little sand in it, it may clear. It is possible to remove water pump if mechanically minded and see if something small eg staple or 5c coin is stuck in it if this dosn't work or you may find you need to replace water pump.

Hi just read you posting.Could you please confirm the fault code for me.1st push and hold the WASH TEMPERATURE DOWN button then press the POWER button until the machine gives you 2 short beeps, then release both buttons. Now press the SPIN UP or DOWN button until the HOLD and SLOW SPIN LEDs are both on.Now the fault code will appear in the WASH PROGRESS lights. Please reply to confirm which lights are lit.Are they the same as your 1st posting? To get back to normal operation turn machine off at the power point.Looking forward to your reply.

Possible that the program controller is faulty and is not executing the output when the wash cycle and the drain is done. So the program must advance further to the next stage to drive the motor to spin after the water is pumped off and the water level sensor is reset.
Have the conttroller checked to confirm the fault, look for loose joints in the connections.
If not the controller can be a suspect.
