I have a Kustom Bluetooth PA speaker. Models PA 40 BATBT That gets no sound? How can I diagnose this problem?

The symptoms you described suggest that there may be several possible issues with your Kustom Bluetooth PA speaker. Here are some steps to diagnose the problem:
  1. Check the battery: Ensure that the battery is fully charged or replace it with a new one if needed. If the battery is old or worn out, it may not provide enough power to the speaker, causing the crackling sound.
  2. Check the connections: Make sure that all cables and connections are properly plugged in and secured. Loose connections can cause crackling sounds or no sound at all.
  3. Check the volume: Turn up the volume on both the speaker and the device connected to it (such as a phone or tablet) to see if that resolves the issue. If the volume is too low, it may result in no sound or faint sound.
  4. Test the mic and instrument input: Try connecting a different microphone or instrument to the speaker to see if the problem is with the original mic or instrument. If the new mic or instrument works, then the issue is likely with the original device.
  5. Check the speaker components: If none of the above steps work, there may be an issue with the speaker's components. It's best to bring the speaker to a professional technician or authorized service center for repair.
Hopefully, one of these steps will help you diagnose and resolve the issue with your Kustom Bluetooth PA speaker.

I have a Kustom KPM8420 PA mixer and the monitor channel comes through both the monitor and main speakers and vice versa. The two channels are not separate. How do I fix that?

On the back panel there is a section labelled Patch Bay
There are 2 small switches which assign each Power Amp to either Monitor or Main Output.
It would seem you have them both set the same at present. Set one to Monitor and one to Main, and use the corresponding Power Amp outputs direct to speakers.

Note you can send signal to external amps or powered speakers from the preamp outputs. This is really handy.
Download and print the manual from https://www.manualslib.com/manual/90516/Kustom-Kpm-8420t.html
and keep it with the mixer.

( Of course don't send speaker outputs to other amps or powered speakers )

Speaker rattle

Yes, but you need to replace the entire speaker. The 1505 and 1508 use a different magnet though they look similar..

I have a blown tweeter on my SP3 and I want to replace it but I don't know how to get it out of the enclosure?

There are a number of versions of SP-3, but normally you would remove the screws holding the horn into the cabinet, take out the horn and then unscrew the driver from the horn. At that point, either replace the diaphragm on the driver or the whole driver.

I have got a kustom KPC10mp and i am trying to hook it up to a kustom non- powered and i cant get no sound thru the monitor , Can this be done .The line out dont make no sound when it is connected to the...

In a word, NO. The line out is line level audio... it has NO power amp and cannot drive a non-powered speaker. I have both of these cabinets myself. You need to use an amp with the non-powered speaker. When using an external amp you will need to make sure you phase the two speakers correctely... you could just reverse the speaker leads of the non-powered one if needed.

How to remove the magnet from the tweeter horn in the PR15 Speakers so I can get to the 3 screws

Removing a magnet from a tweeter is oftten fatal to the voice coil or element in piezo drivers. If you can see the screws, often a right-angle driver may be able to remove them.

I need a color coded wiring diagram for a peavey PV115 speaker cabinet.

Usually the colors you will find are red and black pair and yellow and white... USUALLY the red/blk pair go to the tweeter horn with red going to the + lead of the horn drivers. Usually the yellow/white pair go to the woofer with the white going to the + lead of the woofer in Peavey speakers... HOWEVER you never know if someone has rewired the cabinet so going by colors is NOT the best way to go... This should have the "soundgard" circuit in it and the lead that goes throught the lamp and resistor that is NOT connected to the inout jack is the TWEETER + lead. The pair that connects to the inout jack DIRECTELY is the woofer leads and the TIP connection of a 1/4 inch jack is the + woofer lead. Verifying these connections is the best method.

Im useing the Yamaha MG24/14FX mixer, and ATM Kustom KSE215 speakers, seems like there isint enough power Granted these speakers are 300 or so watts, had a few problems with these speakers with my old...

The MG24/14FX is a mixer only, with no amplifier built-in. It can't drive speakers directly. You'll need powered speakers or separate amps and speakers.

Hi! I need two input/output plates for my Kustom floor monitors (KSC10ML). By input/output plate, I mean the unit that has the volume knob plus the two input/ output jacks that is screwed ino the side...

The KSC10ML has NO volume control... only two 1/4 inch jacks. To get a matching "jack cup" you will probably have to go to Kustom. I have searched for the item on the web and only jack cups that seem to come up are for Marshall or ones that use binding posts. I found one blank one but it is 5 by 7 inches... too big for that Kustom cabinet. In a pinch if you don't need it to be recessed, cut metal or ABS plastic plates and drill for two jacks.

I need replacement crossover because they got burn

The crossover in these is very simple and if it is burned, likely your speakers, maybe both, the woofer and tweeter have been damaged and need to be replaced. Test the speakers before changing the crossover. You MAY NOT notice the damage until you start driving the speakers again. The voice coil of the woofer is a common thing to fry, and while it may not open up, often it becomes unbonded to the coil form and rubs the magnet pole pieces. The tweeter/horn often wipes out the diaphram or blows the element open. Some of these are piezo horns and they can sometimes survive. These are rated at 100 Watts and if your amp can deliver over 50 watts you have to be careful to not put too much power into these. I have several of the Kustom 10 inch ones and several of the 15 inch ones... Also I have two 15 double stacks and they all seem to use the same crossover. Believe me, the crossover is far from what I would call "special" like the advertisements say. As an electrical engineer I was very disappointed. Anyway, test your speakers as they may be the worst of the problem.
