I have. GE commercial skip tv that went almost dark all the sudden.i tried the menu to set the right colors with no luck..any help plz?

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Model GFSS6KKXASS. How can it be reset?

our electricity popped off and then right back on, then the fridge started flashing 88's. Figured it blew a fuse, but then I held the energy saver button and alarm/light buttons for 10 seconds and the fridge started working again!

I have a GE 36" Profile Gas Cooktop JGP963 and when i light one of the burners, it trips the GFCI , main breaker and a little fire ball comes from under the knob. what could cause this?

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A SHORT IN THE IGNITER. YOUR COOKTOP SHOULD BE ON A DEDICATED CIRCUIT AND NOT A GFCI. YOU MIGHT HAVE TWO CIRCUITS TIED INTO THE SAME RUN. POPPING THE GFCI AND THE MAIN BREAKER IS SUSPECT. THE GFCI SHOULD SHUT DOWN THE CIRCUIT WITHOUT POPPING THE MAIN. THIS IS PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE LOOKED AT BY AND ELECTRITION.

What would cause a 1200A CB Main at exterior switch-gear when running only a chill water pump? The chill water pump circuit breaker is on a 1000A CB panel main. The 1200A CB would trip but not the 1000A...

Well 1000 amp stuff is out of my league, but I would guess it is possible the main circuit board might have sensing ability to detect a wiring problem. Perhaps the 3 phase polarity is wrong, the 4th ground pole is not making good contact, or something. With that much amperage, it could be the main needs more grounding rods spread further apart, and make sure you run an explicit ground wire between pump and main. Don't rely on ground rod at pump. Too many people get electrocuted that way.

Ge repair man installed new circuit board worked ok for 30 days now open doors and says off in display, press minus button turns on for a while then turns off again. need help.

I would recall that GE repairman. Most likely the board he installed is defective. There is one in the display usually will not light at all when it goes out. Below is a link to that main board in the rear.

First & Third space in GE TPL412RP are hot, second &fourth not

This is not 3 phase power...you have two legs of 120 ...the red wire? This leg is not a voltage source therefore that wire is not going to fire up that lug ...you only need 3 wires to make this circuit and a neutral is a redundant leg for this box

GE PROFILE FRIG PSS26PSTASS

The recall reads (in part):

GE Consumer & Industrial places a very high priority on product quality and customer satisfaction and thus continuously assesses our product reliability. Recent analysis has discovered a potential problem with the main circuit board on a limited number of refrigerator models, which could lead to lower than anticipated life expectancy on that component. Therefore, if the main circuit board fails, GE Consumer & Industrial will replace this part free of charge to the consumer until further notice.

The models affected are side-by-side plastic liner, side-by-side metal liner, bottom freezer two door and bottom freezer French door. The models were produced between May 2005 and August 2006 (HH – RL serial range) and are included in this program.

Potential Additional Covered Parts:

Specific parts involving the failure of the main board are included in this program. These parts are limited to the following:

-Evaporator Fan failure, only if accompanied by a Main Board failure

-Dispenser Board failure, only if accompanied by a Main Board failure
