Try holding the power button down for several seconds. Or disconnect the power (pull the plug or remove battery). When you turn it back on, it will probably tell you that you didn't shut it down properly and hopefully you've saved whatever you were working on.

SOURCE: lenovo Y510 stuck on logo screen at startup

Your hard drive maybe failing. I would make a back up as soon as possible . Then I would do a dskchk, Here's how:

Double-click My Computer, and then right-click the hard disk that you want to check.

  1. Click Properties, and then click Tools.
  2. Under Error-checking, click Check Now. A dialog box that shows the Check disk options is displayed,
  3. Use the following procedures:
    • To repair errors, locate bad sectors, and recover readable information, select the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors check box, and then click Start.
Note If one or more of the files on the hard disk are open, you will receive the following message: The disk check could not be performed because the disk check utility needs exclusive access to some Windows files on the disk. These files can be accessed by restarting Windows. Do you want to schedule the disk check to occur the next time you restart the computer? Click Yes to schedule the disk check, and then restart your computer to start the disk check. Please don't forget to rate this solution.

SOURCE: can't find drivers for win 7 64-bit for lenovo y510

Hello,

Windows 7 is a new platform and every hardware manufacture is developing the driver suits for it.Meanwhile you will have to download the drivers directly from the chip manufacturers site e.g. for sound you can download it from http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/.

About the chip manufacturers you can know from the Y510 page where the drivers are there for Vista or XP.

Thanks.

HOW DO I FIX A FROZEN,UNMOVEABLE CURSOR ON A LENOVO T61 COMPUTER?

If your Lenovo is running Windows, you use your keyboard to shut it down. One way is to press ctrl + alt + delete; this will open the task manager. Use the keyboard to select your options or to shut it down from here.
Another way is by pressing alt + f4, but you must be in your desktop (main display). Also use the keyboard to select your options.

Did you try to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete?
I think you can turn it off in the Bios Menu (F12 or F10 almost right after you turn on the pc)

I have a frozen acer travelmate netbook that had frozen drive d and c. whenever i open my laptop, it freezes after displaying windows xp. i tried using ctrl+alt+del / ctrl+alt+shift / ctrl+shift+esc but...

sounds lile your Windows operating system or hard drive has become corrupted or damaged. Try to repair Windows or reinstall it using an external optical drive and your Windows CD or restore/recovery CD. If might also be necessary to fully reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows. If that still fails, it might indicate a failing hard drive

I was playing an online game and suddenly everything was blocked. I hit del/alt/ctrl buttons and i restarted laptop but mouse pointer is still frozen and i can't enter windows. i have a lenovo laptop, it's...

1. Lenovo's are top of the line laptops.

2. anything could have happened.
your hard drive died. your video card crapped out. your motherboard burned a diode or a component, your power adapter spiked in voltage. you got hit with lightning. you were infected with a virus.

lenovo laptops usually have a blue button to hit or you can hit the F2 key during startup. In some cases it might be the delete button.

See if you can enter the bios screen?

If you can post back and tell us where it hangs with more information.
