Question about RTO 50cc Moped Scooter

Yiben Meiduc My Yiben has a air box and carburettor problem. The engine bogs down a full thottle when i have the air box fitted with no filter inside. Its just a clear way for the air to get to the carburettor but it still has a lose of power. When i fully remove the air box to leave the carburettor air intake bare it runs like a gem. I have no idea why it loses power just because the rubber pipe round the carburettor intake is on, even with no air filter in to the restrict the flow. Whats going on?

1992 gmc suburban has no power and bogs in cold weather

You need to perform an OBDII diagnostic test and look at the stored faults. Sounds like a temp sensor or Mass Airflow Sensor. Also dirty air filter needs to be changed every 40,000 miles. be sure to delete stored faults and recheck OBDII periodically for new faults.

1i want to know how an where to fit a stage 6 proformance air filter to aerox.

On the carburettor, air being drawn into the carburettor is air that needs to be filtered. Simply remove the standard air box and fit the stage6 one. But don't forget; a stage6 filter will let more air get drawn into the engine, the more extra air need extra fuel to burn otherwise you will be running lean (to much air to fuel ratio). Running an engine lean will cause it to run hotter, if engine gets too hot it will cause the piston to become seized. So if your going to fit a free flow air filter don't forget to up-jet your carburettor.

Trimmer bogs down after starting. Giving more trottle engine stalls.

Check the air filter isn't dirty.
If the machine runs ok on high speed but cuts out while idling, the idle speed may be too low. There is usually an adustment screw for increasing the speed.
If the fuel line is a flexible type which moves around inside the tank, check it is able to move freely because if you are cutting at awkward angles, the end of the line can end up above the surface of the fuel, **** in air and airlock the line. You can eliminate this as the problem by fully filling the tank.
Check whether there is a one way check valve on the tank. This vents air into the tank as the fuel leaves for the carburettor. Sometimes particles of dirt can get stuck in this.

Homelite 16" 33cc chainsaw. Sarts but win't keep

Hello rick.... Get an aerosol can of starter fluid at your local autoparts store. Also get an assistant. Remove the air filter and start it up. Have your helper squirt some starter fluid into the air intake to keep it running for a couple minutes until the partial blockage in the carburater clears. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

Carburettors nissan king cab 1991 what make carburettor

The goal of a carburetor is to mix just the right amount of gasoline with air so that the engine runs properly. If there is not enough fuel mixed with the air, the engine "runs lean" and either will not run or potentially damages the engine. If there is too much fuel mixed with the air, the engine "runs rich" and either will not run (it floods), runs very smoky, runs poorly (bogs down, stalls easily), or at the very least wastes fuel. The carb is in charge of getting the mixture just right.
