Question about Panasonic SC-HT740 System

1 Answer

Panasonic SC-HT740 I have a panasonic SC-HT740 home theater system. The reciever for some reason out of the blue will turn on and freeze while "INT" is flashed across the info screen. This is normal up until now because it doesn't fulling "boot up" so to speak. It just freezes and does not shut itself down or continue on for normal use. I can manually turn the unit off and on at will, but with the same result everytime. Please help!!

Never hook up theater units with the power on, you need to have the fuse replaced in your unit. You need a trained tech. for this electrical problem.

F61 code after a speaker wire touched the chassis and sparked

You have shorted the speaker wores and blown the output amp pac. Depending upon the model, the replacement part varies from $75-$95.I don't have a listing for the SC-HT740, but the cost range should be accurate.

SA-HT740 Broken gear

You probably can get the parts from Tritronics, but as far as I know, there aren't hard-copy manuals normally made for any of the newer products. The only paper available nowadays are the users manuals... The service manuals are on-line at Panasonic and available only to authorized repair centers. Sorry.

I'm curious - how in the heck did a gear break in the thing??? There's nothing strong enough in the drive system to do that (either the motors would sieze or belts slip).
