not many this old are good, a fact.
in all cases above not one person told what PC this was.
So my answer is based on this monitor fails on ALL PCs
for sure 1 that is known to be good.(and not stuck in sleep mode or hibernate mode.

The power supply board is the Acer P235H is not made by Delta Electronics so it is not a DAC board. The power supply board is this model is a ilpi-129 and looks like this:

What happens after the welcome screen?

Similar to TV - you need to adjust the "H" - Horizontal and "V" - Vertical. Horizontal will move picture up or down and Vertical will adjust left to right.

Use the menu button on your monitor.

You need to get the LCD replaced, theres no other way around it.

most like you are not using the native format of the resolution of the screen, it will adjust and not use the whole dimension.

check the manual and then the settings on the computer

I assume you mean video input. It should have both a DVI and VGA input on the back. looking up from underneath it is easily visible. I do not think it has HDMI, so if you're looking for HDMI input, you won't find it, get an adapter.

Thats because Acer P235H have no speakers.
Its only screen for watching, for listening you have to get external speakers.

pc and mac do not play nice together you may need another vga cable since mac may use different pinnout than pc monitors
