Hi, the drivers can be downloaded by clicking the link here: Click Here. Windows 7 specific features such as Windows Aero Experience are not supported by this older chipset. The link is for drivers for windows XP, but work on Windows 7. This should solve your issue to be able to use this older chipset with Windows 7. Hope this helps. If it does, please accept and rate the solution! Contact me with any more questions you may have. Thanks for using FixYa!
You might try the Vista drivers if you haven't already. Otherwise you're probably out of luck. All you can do is install a new sound card which is compatible with W7 and disable the on-board sound in the BIOS. This is the same problem many people ran into when XP was coming into use, and they found hardware and software compatibility issues. At some point you just have to upgrade your hardware if you want to use the newest OS, and now might be the time.
The drivers will either bo on the Windows XP installation CD or they will download from the updates site as it installs. Make sure you allow Windows to connect to search for updates & drivers during the installation. All you need to do is put the cd in the drive and follow the onscreen directions. Good luck.
