Can't receive large faxes

This is not a UK model but the same principles apply. When you receive a fax it is stored in the memory until the whole page is received, then it will start to print. The memory is not split so if you have a lot of faxes to transmit stored in the memory, they will gobble up the memory and reduce the size for receptions to be stored in. Check to see what is stored and delete them to free up memory. If this does not resolve the issue then the machines memory will need to be cleared by the service mode. As I don't know the UK version I cant advise any further.

How to erase memory in Brother 8690 MFC - it keeps printing unwanted faxes which are stored in the memory! It is junk mail and 20 pages long and I want to cancel it. When I press "Stop" and pull the power...

Try to press and hold Job Cancel button until a message Job Cancel (All) appears. Press OK to confirm.
If not working, the next is what I found in user manual:
Remove paper from the printer to stop it printing. Turn it on, if not.
Set Remote Access Code, if not already, pressing Menu, 2, 5, 2. Enter three digits - 1, 2, 3 - for example and press OK.
Dial your fax number from a telephone or another fax machine using touch tone. When your machine answers, immediately enter your Remote Access Code (these 3 digits followed by *). If you hear one long beep, machine is saying that you still have faxes in memory. Then you hear two short beeps, that mean the machine waits your command. Use the dial pad to press 9 6 3.
If you hear one long beep, fax messages have been erased from the memory.

My fax machine can't receive message, "fax memory full"...how to erase the fax memory?

It will depend on the model and make and you have not supplied that information.
If this information in memory was received information then the machine should print out the documents as long as there is nothing in the display saying it needs toner, paper etc, etc.
If it is not received information in memory then it can only be scanned information for copying or transmitting....again, not knowing make or model...you should be able to use your users manual and delete the pages you have stored into memory.

Can I reprint a fax that I just received?

If you want to reprint a fax because the print cartridge was empty or if the fax was printed on the wrong type of media, you can try to reprint it. The amount of memory that is available determines the actual number of faxes that are stored for reprinting. ... These faxes are stored continuously.
here's how if you have this accessibility..
Press "Setup" on the control panel of your fax machine. Most fax machines will have an LED display panel on the front of the machine. The panel will usually include on screen prompts and help options. Some fax machines signal the user if they have faxes stored in memory and prompt the user to "print faxes" or "clear memory," but you need to make sure that you don't accidentally clear the memory or you will lose all saved faxes.
Use the arrow keys or number pad as directed by screen prompts to select "Fax Setup Menu" and then press the "OK" or "Start" key.
Enter the security code, PIN, or user authorization code if required. The security code or PIN protects sensitive information and prevents unauthorized use of the fax machine memory. If you haven't set it up you don't have it.
Navigate to "Receive" or "Print Faxes in Memory" and then press the "OK" or "Start" key as directed by the on-screen prompt. The last fax stored in the machine's memory should begin to print.
Repeat the above steps for each fax in memory if you need a different one.
Hope this helps and isn't clear as mud!
Happy new year.

MY ACER ZG5 KEEPS ASKING ME FOR HARDWARE SECURITY?? ALL I DID WAS NOT REMEMBER MY PASSWORD, TOUCHED ONE OR TWO THINGS... BOOM! HARDDISK SECURITY COMES UP?

The BIOS (basic input output system) is a chip that stores the configuration of the laptop and this information needs a battery to keep it stored in its memory. The stored info, consists of The date & time, the amount of RAM (memory), the hard disk type & size, configuration of the parralel & serial ports, passwords etc.
Some passwords are not stored in the BIOS, such as the hard disk password.
The hard disk password is setup from the BIOS configuration and it can be removed using the BIOS configuration, but you need to know the password to do this, or you just enter the password to access the data on the hard disk. This password is used to prevent unauthorized access to data on the hard disk.
There are no backdoor passwords you can use and moving the hard disk into another computer will not allow you access to the data on that hard disk.

How to set up Speed Dial on a Uniden phone?

My Mom had this same problem.   I found these instructions on Uniden's website (uniden.com) under the "Owner Manuel" section.

Here you go - good luck!

Using the Speed Dial Memory
Storing Numbers in Speed Dial Memory
Your cordless phone can store up to ten numbers (up to 20 digits each) in the speed dial
memory. To store number in memory:
1) When the phone is in standby, press [memory]. The talk/batt low LED flashes.
2) Use the keypad to enter the phone number.
(To enter a 2-second pause between numbers, press [redial/
pause]. Each pause counts as a digit. )
3) Press [memory] again.
4) Select the speed dial location where you would like to store the
number ( [0] to [9] ). You will hear a confirmation tone indicating
that the number has been stored.
NOTE:
• Storing a number to a speed dial location will
overwrite the any previously stored number without
warning.
• When storing numbers into memory and the handset is idle (i.e., no key is
pressed) for more than 0 seconds, it will beep rapidly, and then the phone
will return to standby.
Dialing a Stored Number
1) When the phone is in standby, press [talk], and listen for a dial tone.
2) Press [memory] and enter the speed dial entry ([0] – [9]) that has the stored number
you want to dial. (If you enter a digit that does not contain a stored number, the
handset will beep rapidly, and the phone will not dial.)
Chain Dialing
The speed dial memory is not limited to phone numbers. You can store any number (up
to 20 digits) that you need to enter once your call connects. This is referred to as Chain
Dialing. An example is a frequently refilled prescription number. Store your pharmacy
phone number in one speed dial and your most frequently refilled prescription number
as another speed dial. To use, once you ring your pharmacy's automated prescription
line, simply press [memory] and the speed dial number where you stored your account
number.
Erasing a Stored Number from Memory
1) With the phone in standby, press [memory] twice.
2) Press the number of the speed dial entry. A tone indicates that the stored number is
erased from memory.
