I just got my phone yesterday. I put my sim's card in and turned it on but the phone wont get a signal and you can't hear the ring tones when you try to play them. Can anyone help me?

Well i could suggest things to you but i think the #1 thing do is take it back while your warrenty is valid they should accept it back because its a technical fault.

Sound like the display is going up or poor contacts on it. Try applying pressure to it by squeezing the phone firmly and try twisting it at the same time (not too hard, you don't wont to break it in half). Does the keypad still light up? If so this is most likely a display issue and the phone will need to be replaced (repair may be possible if your carrier has a Tech repair department). Phone repair is not for the faint of heart, there are a lot of really small parts in there! If you cant get it fixed I suggest upgrading if your contract is almost up or eBay (if you have a SIM type phone). That's why I love the SIM; I am not tied to one handset
I am having this problem as well.
A repair guy told me its probably the antenna's connections to the circuit board, but he couldn't fix it.
