My 29 inch crt has sound but no picture

Sounds like a high voltage power supply problem. With the TV on, check to see if CRT has a static charge on face of screen by placing back side of hand in front of it and feel for static charge. Also you could hold a piece of tissue paper in front of the screen to see if static electricity from the CRT attracts it. If no static charge is present, the problem is more than likely in the high voltage power supply. Unless it is something simple, like a loose connection, it would probably be cheaper to replace the TV. Do not probe around in the HV power supply while the TV is on--it could prove deadly.

Blue screen, little static and great sound

I can not be sure but it sounds like maybe a wire got pulled. Is that possible? Maybe the cable is either damaged or it is partly out of the jack. Check both ends, at the TV and the console.

Screaming static

Try turning off different lights near the room or in the room that it is in. Our tv does that if the overhead light in our bedroom is on, it's a room right next to our living room.

Bad static on toshiba

I believe your problem to be somewhere in the tuner section. That's why it affects both sound and picture. Could be a bad solder joint or component in that area.
