If they cannot hold the charge or do not charge then get rid of the thing and get a new one. Should be much cheaper than when you bought the one you have now.

A FORD found on Road Dead. a 9year old PC, 2009
NO fans is first., the fans must be cleaned all vents cleaned, or the CPU overheats fast. ok?
the fact that fans are dead means POWER IS Dead.
the fans are first to come up running,
so here are the steps, (screen black too you said)
so is 2 times dead.
first take out that silly dead shorted 9year old huge battery, this is ALWAYS first first. dead fans. or dead screens.
next, is run on power pack AC only
run now good, be happy, live huge battery free forever
if fan and screen still dead AC Pack can be bad. or its jacks.
next is what, ? clean the fan and all vents.
never seen any 9year old PC not packed in lint. eva.
The BIOS can in fact stop booting if the fan stalls.
The BIOS does not want to run the fan reads 0 RPM.
if packed full of lint and the fan is stalled bingo
0 RPM and BIOS will be cranky, varies by all PCs made.

1: big battery out,
2: do the long reset stated below link pcdied.
and see the lists there. in order. 11 steps. there.
the tests are mostly simple unless shorted modules inside.

2yrs old. Went thru 3 sets of batteries to get 20 pictures. Dead again. What`s the story?

Sounds like you have a short in the wiring. This is repair shop stuff, or buy a new camera time. Usually, if it is a point and shoot , it is not worth sending for repair as you'll playas much as a new camera is worth. I would look for a new camera, personally. Good luck.

Re: hp compaq 6910p laptop start button stays lighted, as does volume indicator, and sometimes two colors on he ethernet plug-in. The start will not turn off. And it will not start computer. And...

Hi, please try first by unplug charger and then remove battery, after about 10 minutes, insert battery again and plug it charger, only the battery charging indicator should light on, if the status of other indicators keeps in the same way, maybe the motherboard is faulty and needs to be replaced, in such case, don't worry about your data, it can be recovered since hard disk can be taken apart from your computer to be connected to another one to access your data.

I have dell 'DHS' model ,but my cpu is not working. when i give power supply to cpu that time fan are moving for 5sec after that it's not working.i have checked power supply, power cable, PSU shorts),PSU...

old post. PC is 16 years old today, (junk and not worth $10 used)
1: run it on line power only main battery out. now.
runs now, yhes, then the battery was shorted, get new one.
or run on AC only for ever.

2: RTC coin cell is dead, buy a new one and put it in.
no RTC COIN lasted 16 years, not a single one, impossible!!!
so get rid of this old coin cell., buy a new one, spend $2

3: Now the CPU fan works, and stays on, in some BIOS you can check a box say fan is always , on do so and now it only changes speed. if the fan is dead still then it may be bad. this old easy.

4: CPU overheat, I have never seen any CPU to heatsink
thermal compound last for 16 years, (mine does but not yours)
I use very top quality thermal grease (compound, no aging) ask.

5: The Power pack can be bad. (if PC dead with main battery out the pack can in fact be just bad.
6: is the screen 100% black at all times? no text ever?
most PC this old the CCLF back lamps are dead.
that is why most PC this old are worth nothing until year 2010 made. a fact. get a newer PC with LED back lamps.
ask for advice on this, have lots.

My posts can be all wrong ,after all I can not watch your screen
and do simple tests.

but the fan dead is very very serious matter.
I even strip off all modules in the Laptop, to prove there are no shorted modules in the PC. shorts cause power to shut of.
BY DESIGN.

My laptop went into hibernation on its own and now the laptop will not power up. I thought it was a battery problem so I got a new one. The laptop worked for about an hour and then went into hibernation...

running the DEAD OS called XP are you? the virus magnet?
why not turn hibernation off first.

here are the firsts list ,
1: new RTC coin cell installed in laptop (tiny battery is first)
NO cell last 15 year old, why run this battery?????????????
very very unwise
2: park the huge new battery on the shelf till PC runs right again.
3: now run on AC power, this must work or the pack is bad (99%?)
4: ok it runs now, go to control panel and turn off hibernate.
CP + power, turn it all off.

now the dead thing,
do the HP long reset posted at HP 1,000,000 times.
  1. big battery out
  2. ac pack unplugged. from PC
  3. push power button for 10 second
  4. release.
this resets hibernate , and other oddities.

Losing charge quickly on my 28v batteries

How old are they? You can expect one year out of these batteries, and that is about it. I have boxes full of dead batteries, hoping they will be worth something someday as rare chemicals. No, just saving up for a trip to the recycling bin. But every year I buy a new set, mark the with a sharpie, that is how I know they only last a year, because I have been doing it for 10 years. Hope this helps.

Both batteries show full charge but don't last 10 minutes. Only had the tool for less than a year.

rechargeable batteries can build a memory, if you use it say for 5 minutes and then put it back on the charger - then the next time you use it for 5 screws and put it back on the charge - see where I am going
Over time the rechargeable batteries "learn" they only have to work for 5 minutes ( dang my son was that way)
You need to fully drain them and recharge them fully several times might take 10 times.
We have a program in our shop that when you are done with a battery it goes in the flashlight until dead, dead, dead then to the charger. I have batteries that are 10 years old and still work almost like new.
You may have to replace yours but it is worth a try

Unit went dead and then replugged in and then worked...

It would appear that you need to replace the battery on this unit
You could get a new battery from a local battery specialty store like Batteries Plus or Interstate Battery, or online at www.replacementupsbattery.com. A new battery would be about $30. If you took your old battery there, they could recycle your old one, as well as match it up with the correct one you would need (HR9-12 battery).
We have a 3 year warranty on all our battery back up units. If you have any questions, you could contact us here at CyberPower Systems Technical Support at 877-297-6937, M-F 8-5Cent., or email us at [email protected]
