Hi Donna, I am happy to assist you!
If the oven door is locked with door closed, try pressing
the CLEAR/OFF or CANCEL button in for approximately three seconds if your unit
is a touchpad model.
If you have a knob type range control, I suggest starting a
self-clean cycle. Then turn the stop time knob to the off position. If that
does not work, then disconnect power to the stove and then reset unit by either
unplugging it or flipping the breaker off. It is necessary to wait roughly ten
minutes and then turn the range on.
I ask that you please follow up with a response on the post,
at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if the
unit's status has changed successfully.
Best of luck!

SOME RANGES ARE DESIGNED TO LOCK IF THE CONTROL SENSES A TEMPERATURE EXTREME. IF THERE IS A FAILURE OF THE SENSOR THAT MAKES THE CONTROL THINK THE TEMP IS UP, IT WILL LOCK THE DOOR TO PREVENT INJURY. REMOVE THE BACK PANEL AND FIND THE OVEN SENSOR LEADS COMING OUT THE BACK OF THE OVEN. DISCONNECT THE SENSOR AND CHECK THE RESISTANCE. AT ROOM TEMP IT SHOULD BE SOMEWHERE AROUND 1084 OHMS. IF IT IS NOT CLOSE,
THE SENSOR IS BAD. PLUG IN A NEW SENSOR AT THAT CONNECTOR AND THE DOOR SHOULD UNLOCK. THEN GET INSIDE THE OVEN, REMOVE THE OLD SENSOR, AND REPLACE IT WITH THE ONE PLUGGED IN.

sounds as if there is a problem with the latch assy, there are 2 switches mounted on the latch mechanism for monitoring positon of hte switches, seems as if one has gone bad, not recognizing the door lock positon therfore continues to rotate without stop.part number for the motor latch assy w/switch and bracket 318095957 . located behind rear panel
Hi michell51238 - From what you are describing it sounds like the range may possibly have a faulty light switch or wiring failure that only a professional can repair. I personally recommend consulting a certified technician for a proper diagnosis and to move forward accurately.
